Your day sounds like a rollercoaster of frustration and humor! Itβs amazing how something as simple as a broken coffee machine and endless wasabi peas can highlight the quirks of office life. I can totally relate to the struggle of feeling ungrateful while also questioning the logistics of a company that can track transactions globally but struggles with almond milk.π₯Ή
LOL when I hear the stories of other peopleβs days I feel like a full blown Karen. βmy snacks suck. I have to wait for the elevator. I have to ride the Titanic to workβ (ok well the last one)
They have canceled a lot of routes. There's a boat that goes in front of the ferry that breaks the ice. And the ferry has a shield on the front. It goes slow and sometimes it feels like turbulence. I've been putting off the bus but I may need to take a break from the artic crossing for a bit.
Okay, βthe eternal wasabi peasβ is so specific it made me laugh out loud. Like theyβve been there since the dawn of time, watching us suffer in fluorescent light. Iβd have written that email too, honestly.
This is a window into Corporate Hell and it sure resonated with me! It is about the wasabi peas. And it's about 1,000 other things including the outrage that is having to work in such soulless environments that suppress your essence. (At least that's what it was for me... I shouldn't project. Sorry.) π€ Seriously though, this was great!
Did you get the haircut yet?
Hard no on the haircut lol. My sister and I have a pinky swear to never cut our hair and have to talk each other out of it if one of us tries.
Hehehe i feel this one! I donβt miss working in the office!

I read this via your email newsletter.
Itβs not in the Substack feed β at least, I donβt see it there.
So Iβm responding as a reader of the letter, not as a reaction to the feed.
@lintara
